Some goods are more delicate and sensitive than others. However, it is usually less about this specific characteristic than the value behind it. These goods are then either very expensive or even irreplaceable. Damage or even loss has far-reaching consequences or may affect other areas. It is therefore not without reason that the transport of delicate and sensitive goods is left to specialists rather than conventional freight forwarders.
Art and antiques
Art is, of course, the most sensitive and practically irreplaceable item. Sculptures, valuable paintings and even musical instruments made by master craftsmen require special protection during transport and assembly. Nothing must go wrong here. And of course this doesn't just mean direct impacts such as shocks and vibrations - temperature or lighting conditions can also be important here. Only with the appropriate expertise and sufficient experience can such tasks be mastered safely.
Hi-tech, medicine and IT
Today, modern technology is also considered to be very sensitive transport goods. Thanks to digitalisation and miniaturisation, everything has become somewhat smaller and less heavy, but the transport task itself is not necessarily ‘easier’ as a result. Today, modern electronics and the finest mechanics are hardly forgiving of errors during transport, assembly or disassembly. Modern medical and laboratory technology in particular is constantly presenting us as a transport company with new challenges.
Machines and systems
Unlike in the past, production plants today tend to have a modular structure and as such are much smaller than in the past. But here, too, the rule applies that constant technical development has made products more sensitive. Today, machine transport has to be planned even more precisely and there are also significantly more external factors influencing the transport itself.
